Celebrating Foundation Day of SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka

On 19 January 2022 a virtual programme was held to observe the 36^th Foundation Day of SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka with great enthusiasm by the students and the teachers of the institution. The programme started at 10:00 a.m. with the recitation from the Holy Quran by a student of class X. Then two students, two teachers and finally, the Principal of the college delivered their speeches. In the speeches, the students expressed their gratitude for being blessed with beautiful surroundings and wonderful facilities of the college. They also expressed their joy for learning to develop their mind and spirit; and to develop the bondage of the present members with the past members of the college. In the speech of the Principal, she described the aims of the establishment of the college and the significant developments since its inception. In her speech, she also emphasized on the students’ academic sides, extra-curricular activities, moralities, duties to the society and the country. She inspired them to follow the path of Dr. Hermann Gmeiner after whose name the college was established.  After the completion of her speech, the cultural part began at 11:00 a.m. In the cultural part, the students celebrated the day presenting dance, singing songs and reciting poems. The whole programme ended at 12:00 p.m.
