A “Doa and Milad Mahfil” programme was held by the students and the teachers of SOS Hermann

Gmeiner College Dhaka in Helmut Kutin auditorium of the college on 29 October 2022 on the occasion

of holy Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, marking the birth and demise of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)

with due religious fervour and solemnity. The programme started at 09:30 a.m. with the recitation from

the holy Quran by a student of class VII. Then a group of boys students performed Hamd-e-Elahi and a

group of girls students performed Naat-e-Rasool that followed a discussion on life, childhood and noble

teachings of the Prophet. Here, three students of class VII, VIII and IX discussed the topic of “The Life

and Childhood of the Prophet” respectively. Next, the Principal of the college distributed prizes among

the students who secured the 1 st , 2 nd  and 3 rd  positions in Qirat and Quiz competitions. Then she delivered

an important speech advising the students to follow the path of the Prophet (PBUH). The whole

programme ended at 11:30 a.m. following “Munajat” and distribution of “Tobarak” among the students

of the college.
