The 37th Foundation Day of SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka was observed on 19 January 2023 with great enthusiasm by the students and the teachers of the institution. To observe the day, a programme was held in “Helmut Kutin” auditorium of the college. The programme started at 09:00 a.m. with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Then six students delivered their speeches expressing gratitude for being blessed with the teachers’ affection and care; beautiful surroundings and wonderful facilities of the college. After that two teachers and the Vice Principal of the college shared the experience of their journey in the college and advised the students to keep holding the honour of the college; to study well; to be ethical and to work for the society. Later, the Principal of the college gave certificates to the best students from class I to class XI and announced the names of two school Prefects. Next, she delivered her speech congratulating the best students and the new Prefects and wishing all the students the best. She emphasized on the students’ academic sides, extra-curricular activities, moralities, duties to the society and the country. She inspired the students to follow the path of Dr. Hermann Gmeiner. After the completion of her speech, the cultural part began. The students presented dance, sang songs and recited poems. The whole programme ended at 12:00 p.m. distributing the delicious foods and beverages among the students.
