A three day long science festival was held at SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka from 11^th May to 13^th May 2023. This science festival was named “16^th HGC Festival de la Creativite”. Students of class XI organized the programme where all the members of college Debating club, Language club, Cultural club, Art club and Science club worked together. Moreover, the Principal, the Vice Principal and all faculty members of the college were present at the festival. Students from class IV to class XII took part in different events and the programme was open to students from other schools and colleges such as Notre Dame College, Holy Cross School and College, Adamjee Cantonment School and College, Monipur High School and College, Residential Model College, BAF Shaheen College, BN College Dhaka etc. Each day the programme started at 9:00 a.m. and ended at 5:00 p.m. Students presented different types of handwork and models which were related to different branches of science. There were various events like Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) Olympiad, Math Olympiad, English Olympiad, Cultural competition, Quizzes on different topics, Debate, Competition on photography  and Art exhibition etc. Eminent writer and co- editor of the Daily Prothom Alo, Anisul Haque and popular actor Faruk Ahmed were the special guests of the programme. They surveyed the entire exhibition on the final day and enjoyed a lot. At the end of the event, the special guests and the Vice Principal distributed certificates to the winners. Next, the special guests delivered their motivational speeches .The special guests were given souvenirs on the occasion of the festival. Thus the festival came to an end giving the students more inspiration, motivation and spirit to work unitedly.
