As per the tradition, SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka has arranged a week long programme named ‘Hermann Gmeiner week’ from 15 June to 22 June to celebrate International SOS Children’s Village Day. Various competitions like Bengali Handwriting, Bengali and English Spelling, Bengali Essay Writing, Quiz on the life and work of Dr. Hermann Gmeiner, Extempore Speech, Recitation, Music and Art have been arranged in this regard. Students from class I to XII of the host college as well as other institutions like Adamjee Cantonment College, Shaheed Bir Uttam Lt. Anwar Girls’ College, Holy Cross School, Green Field School & College have participated enthusiastically in different contests. A book fair has also been organized for both the students and guests at the college compound.
