The Crest Giving Ceremony of the GPA -5 achievers from SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka in the exams of SSC 2021 and HSC 2021 was held on 10 March 2022 in the Helmut Kutin auditorium of the college. The Principal of the college presided over the function and Dr. Md. Enamul Haque, the Chairman of the College Governing Body and National Director of SOS Children’s Villages International was present as the Chief Guest. Respected Project Director, SOS Children’s Villages, Dhaka, Md. Saiful Islam and the Senior Director of SOS Children’s Villages International, Ms. Dalia Das also graced the programme. The programme started at 10:45 a.m. with the recitation from the Holy Quran by a student of class XII. Then one GPA-5 achiever in SSC 2021 and one GPA-5 achiever in HSC 2021 delivered their speeches respectively expressing their feelings and experiences. After that, two-class teachers of the two batches and the Principal of the college delivered their speeches congratulating the students on their success. Then the crest-giving session began. The Chief Guest handed over the crests to the GPA-5 achievers one by one. After the completion of giving the crests, he delivered an important speech congratulating and inspiring the students. He advised them to be sincere to their duties and responsibilities to themselves and to the country; to be good human beings and to follow the path of Dr. Hermann Gmeiner, the founding father of SOS Children’s Villages. The whole programme ended at 11:45 a.m. after a photo session of the GPA-5 achievers with the Chief Guest and with other dignitaries.
