The Crest Giving Ceremony of the GPA-5 achievers from SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka in the SSC Examination 2022 was held on 22 January 2023 in “Helmut Kutin” auditorium of the college. The Principal of the college presided over the programme. Dr. Md. Enamul Haque, National Director of SOS Children’s Village International in Bangladesh and the Chairman of the College Governing Body was present as the Chief Guest. Respected Project Director, SOS Children’s Village, Dhaka, Md. Saiful Islam also graced the programme as the Special Guest. The programme started at 10:40 a.m. with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Then two GPA-5 achievers in the SSC Examination 2022 delivered their speeches expressing their gratitude to the teachers. After that, one of the class teachers of this batch and the Principal of the college delivered their speeches congratulating the students on their success. Then the crest-giving session began. The Chief Guest handed over the crests to the GPA-5 achievers one by one. After the completion of giving the crests, he delivered an important speech congratulating and inspiring the students. He advised them to be sincere to their duties and responsibilities to themselves and to the country; to be good human beings and to follow the path of Dr. Hermann Gmeiner, the founding father of SOS Children’s Villages. The whole programme ended at 11:15 distributing snacks among the GPA-5 achievers.
