The orientation Programme for the newly admitted students of class XI (session 2021-2022) in SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka was held on 28 February 2022 in the ‘Helmut Kutin’ auditorium of the college. The programme started at 10:00 a.m. with the recitation from the Holy Quran by a student of class XII. The Vice Principal of the college conducted the programme. She welcomed the students and their parents and then she introduced them with their class teachers and other teachers who would take their classes. She gave a brief description of the institution and spoke about dos and don’ts; and also the academic disciplines of the college. Following that, the Principal of the college delivered her important speech greeting all the newly admitted students and their parents. She described the history and the achievements of the institution. She wished the students the bright future and advised how to prepare themselves with study, discipline, sincerity and morality. She emphasised on the morality for the students as well as education. After her speech the students were informed about the names of their sections by one of their class teachers. The introduction part of the programme ended at 11:00 a.m. that followed by a campus tour by the students and their parents. The students interacted with each other during this time and then finally, the whole programme ended at 11:30 a.m.
